A few items to keep in mind:
- We recommend scheduling your exam immediately after 3:30pm on the class day. The time slots are limited, and the sooner you schedule your exam, the more likely you’ll find the most convenient time. However, the decision of what day/time to schedule your exam is completely up to you.
- Make sure you can be in a quiet location, and alone. You will NOT be allowed to take the exam in busy public areas such as parks, coffee shops, lobbies, restaurants, and the like.
- Be sure to read through the “Getting Ready to Take Your Exam” instructions at the bottom.
In Order – Follow these instructions to schedule your exam
- Install the Guardian Browser on the computer you will be using to take the exam.
- Create a ServSafe account, or login to your existing account:
- Create a ProctorU account – MUST BE THE SAME USERNAME AND PASSWORD AS YOUR SERVSAFE ACCOUNT!
- Click here to create a ProctorU account.
- NOTE! After creating your ProctorU account and log-in, select ServSafe as the institution.
- Test your equipment on the computer you will be using to take the exam.
- Schedule your exam for anytime after 3:30pm. You can officially schedule the exam for any day or time preferred, but we recommend scheduling immediately following the Food Safety Manager Course.
Getting Ready to Take Your Exam
- Have a government issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, military ID, etc.)
- Clear your workspace of all materials.
- Close all 3rd party programs or applications on your computer.
- Download and install the Guardian Browser if you have not done so already. Click here to download and install Guardian Browser.
- Login to your ProctorU account.
- The exam launching process usually takes about 8-10 minutes.
